The Bailey-Weston Band
Steve Bailey returned from the blues festivals of Colombia several months ago to put together a new band and has certainly hit the jackpot with his current lineup. Steve Bailey and the Blue Flames joined forces with the Jesse Weston Band to form the Bailey-Weston Band, a band that will certainly be turning some heads with 3 strong vocalists, great piano, harmonica, and a wide variety of guitar styles.
Steve Bailey has been a mainstay of the Seattle blues scene since the 1970s, working with the Isaac Scott Band and then his own group Stevie and the Blue Flames. An award-winning harmonica player and teacher, he also doubles on guitar. He has continued to record and release original songs and has stayed “true to the blues” through it all.
Jesse Weston, keys, has been a fixture in the Spokane blues scene for years, winning awards from the Inland Empire Blues Society for “Best New Band” and “Best Keyboards”. Jesse is a strong vocalist, superb piano player, and even will knock you out on guitar.
Brian Lee is an incredibly versatile singer, harmonica player, and guitarist—he plays slide, finger style, and gutsy electric . He has great original material and is truly a top-shelf bluesman. He also performs locally with Brian Lee and the Orbiters and has won numerous awards from the Washington Blues Society.
David Hudson has over 20 years as a blues drummer, he has truly studied the nuances of blues drumming through Freddy Below, Fran Cristina, and others. He drove the beat in the Crossroads Band, T-Town Aces, the Hudson Blues Band, and other northwest favorites.
Dan Kopp, bass, has traveled extensively in the rock world and recently played with Boneyard. This is his first blues band, none of the other band members had any idea as he sounds like a blues veteran.
